Abstract

Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is a potentially severe acute respiratory infection, caused by coronavirus-2. The virus is transmitted by airborne droplets, airborne dust, faecal-oral route. The source of coronavirus infection is a sick person. The vulnerable groups in the development of coronary virus disease are the pregnant women and their newborn babies.

This article analyse the latest global recommendations for the management and prevention of coronavirus disease (or/and suspecting) in pregnant women infected by COVID-19 and in their newborns, as well as in infants in outpatient service, and epidemiology of outbreaks prevention, and recommendations for breastfeeding and immunization.
